Our gift to you this holiday season.
The SUNDAY COWL, a twist on a traditional broken rib. The 2 row repeat forms an elegant pattern, a piece of fabric. Done in any color light or dark, the shadows of the stitches make this architectural pattern even more interesting. It is fun and quick to knit with a lovely rhythm and close to 2" of ease for blocking.
The Sunday Cowl can be worn close to the neck or looser with more drape. Either way it is the perfect cowl. Perhaps it will also be the perfect gift for many on your list. Do make time to knit one for you!
I just received your lovely Sunday Cowl and it's beautiful. Can't wait to get started.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if it's necessary we use 2 sizes of Needles throughout the Cowl?
Is there a particular reason as to why?
I'm thinking of making the Cowl a little closer to my Neck, If I do that, then how many stitches would you say
would be enough to cast on ?
In reading over the Pattern, the Gauge says 8 1/2 sts + 10 Rows = 2 inches. However on the Fiber Company's
webpage says for Tundra Yarn - 12-14 sts = 4 inches on US 10-11 Needles - but they don't give the number of Rows ?
Here in Vancouver,BC - we don't get yarn from The Fiber Company, so I'm thinking of using some Berocco Ultra Alpaca or Blue Sky Melange.
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely Sunday Cowl with us.
Wishing you and your family Happy Holidays.
